Maine Seacoast

The smell of the ocean, the sound of the ocean waves rustling against the rocks, the taste of the salty air, waking up in the morning to experience only something God could create, amazing.

The end of September was the first chance I got to go up to Maine including all summer long to visit my dad at my parents summer cottage in Wells, ME.  I went up there to hang out and play some golf with him for the weekend.  I was so glad to have brought my camera up with me.

I woke up at 5am not to optimistic of getting any good shots because it was raining at first, nothing but gray skies, but the storm was luckily just ending so I caught the tail end of it as the sun was rising, therefore creating dramatic views.  I went to a place called Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, ME not to far of a drive, about 10 minutes away.  I was the first one to arrive in the parking lot.  I took a walk along a path called the Marginal Way right along the ocean and was fortunate enough to able to explore down along the rocks because it was low tide.  Had to be careful to not get my camera wet though.  It was a great time setting up my tripod and experiencing the sunrise.  I could not have asked for a better morning.

Enjoy the photos!!!

I wanted to start off with one of my favorite's.

As the sun was rising I still had plenty of space left to take some more photos.  I wandered along the Marginal Way a little bit more and.....

took some photos of waves crashing with my telephoto lens.

I could not have asked for a better morning.  The sunrise was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, every person I walked by greeted me.  Great time!
